• This Silver Plated Coaster is made in Sheffield to an excellent standard in high quality silver plate on copper. The silver plated coaster holds a bottle of wine or champagne.

This silver plated coaster has been made in Sheffield, England. It is completely made by hand by skilled craftsmen. The body of the coaster is produced by spinning a copper circle on a lathe, to our knowledge there are only a small number of people who can perform this skill which has been practiced for nearly 200 years. The coaster is then put through 3 different polishing regimes before being silver plated with a very high quality silver plate. A final polish is then applied to give a 'mirror polish' before the wood and central button are attached. These coasters are made with the same care and attention as the solid silver ones we offer.
